Compliments to the Capital

The District of Columbia has been amazing!  Brett and I had a great time in our nation’s capital.  We started at the Lincoln monument, and Honest Abe sure did look great.  We set up shop right by the Reflecting Pool, complimenting people on anything and everything.  From there we moved to the World War II monument, where we met some veterans.  It was a very moving experience to be able to thank them for all they’ve done for our country.  After we left the WWII monument we visited many other historic landmarks, including the Capitol Building and the White House. Later than evening, we had an amazing opportunity to compliment a stadium full of people at the Washington Nationals game. This entire experience has been something neither of us ever expected, but being invited to say “Play Ball” at a professional baseball game, was just absolutely ridiculous.  It was so exciting to see Brett meeting all of those players and managers, all because of something as simple as a compliment.  Brett stood at home plate, while he gave the umpire the line-up card. After seeing Brett in front of thousands of people on the jumbo-tron, I began to feel butterflies floating around in my stomach.  It was than my turn to compliment the stadium, as well as say, Play Ball!  Thankfully, everything went very smoothly, and it was awesome to get a round of applause from that many people. I am pretty sure this is the most people I have ever been able to reach with one single compliment.
